This retro, spaceship-like white gold UR-103 is a highly evolved successor to the initial UR-101 and UR-102 models of the late 1990s—inspired by the Millennium Falcon—and marked a new beginning for the brand, firmly cementing its design language for the new millennium.
The rotation of the hour cones as they revolve around the depth-rich dial, exposed through a unique and impressive crystal, is a fascinating spectacle. The conventional small seconds and power reserve indicators are displayed on the caseback, which also features Urwerk’s signature user-adjustable fine-tuning screw for regulating timekeeping accuracy.

The dial and crystal are clean.
The titanium clasp has some typical wearing of the black coating on the edges but looks great. The leather strap shows ordinary signs of wear for its age but is still presentable and has plenty of life left.
Urwerk also recently announced the first rubber strap for the 103, as well as a folding titanium clasp, which can be ordered via their site for a fresh new look.
The white gold surfaces are in good shape overall and look very presentable. They generally only show minor, ordinary, superficial wear throughout, and there are some ordinary, generally unapparent, very shallow, minor nicks present. If desired, a professional refinishing could restore the watch to practically mint condition as there are no excessively deep blemishes, but we would not consider it worthwhile or recommended at this time.
