This rare 45mm Panerai Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso PAM 00519 has a commanding yet refined wrist presence. The Radiomir 1940 case bridges the gap between original wire-lug Radiomirs and later Luminor models, featuring integrated lugs that trace the evolution toward Panerai's crown-guard era.
Powering the watch is the magnificent OP XXV caliber, an authentic Minerva 13-22 manual-wind chronograph movement whose original 13-22 designation remains discreetly visible beneath the balance wheel. It remains one of the finest hand-finished movements ever fitted to a modern Panerai. The finishing is exceptional, the crown is gratifying to wind, and the pushers exhibit a surprisingly crisp, tactile action.
The warm-toned California dial pairs luminous Roman and Arabic numerals and is shielded by a thick domed Plexiglas crystal that creates charming distortions at the edge.
The PAM00519 is one of the most significant special editions of the modern Panerai era. Limited to just 100 pieces, its production was strictly constrained by the output of the historically significant Minerva manufacture.
This example is especially noteworthy for having a recent 2026 Panerai warranty registration, despite its original 2014–2015 production.
